Meet Mrs. McClanahan

I’m originally from Longview, Texas and graduated from Pine Tree High School.  I attended The University of Texas at Austin for my bachelors degree.  From there I moved to Denton, Texas for 2 years, and then moved to Kingwood, Texas.  After living in many different places in Texas I decided that “There is no place like home!”  I’ve worked at Hudson PEP Elementary the last eight years of my career.   I have taught grades 1st through 5th grade over my past fifteen years in education.  I recently finished my master’s degree in school counseling from Lamar University. This is my second year as a school counselor.  I have a wonderful husband Joshua and two beautiful daughters, Addison and Emma. I’m excited to start my second year with White Oak ISD and I’m looking forward to a great school year!

My goal for creating this website is to share helpful information to our students, parents, teachers, and community members.

You may contact me at [email protected] or call (903) 291-2182.  You may also fill out a counselor visit request form.

  • Staff or family members may refer students to my office, or students may refer themselves.
  • Confidentiality-What students share in my office may only be communicated to someone else if the student is being harmed, if they are harming someone else, or if they are harming themselves.
